To
end the Halloween weekend my roommates and I decided to have a movie marathon
with our friends. We decided to watch the best movies to watch, the movies that
were watch were Halloweentown 1 and 2, Halloween 1-3, Paranormal activity 3 and
finally Child’s Play 2. We decided to watch these movies because my roommate
owns almost every movie out there, except for the ones we want to watch in the
spur of the moment. We also decided to invite some of our other friends to come
join us.
When
everybody arrived Thursday we decided to watch Paranormal Activity 2 because
when everybody arrived we were already watching it so why not finish it. During
the movie there was a scene, which made my roommates, not shut up the whole weekend?
In the movie there is a demon that is disrupting the family, during the movie
the daughter of the family is watching her sibling and out of no where there is
a knock at the door and she goes to see what it was and she sees nothing. So
like all horror movies she decides to go outside the door and take a look. Than
the door just slams shut by the ghost and she was locked out. Her family comes
back to find their daughter not home and the baby all alone. The parents were
obviously frustrated, understandably, but they were tired so they left to
discuss till the morning. This is where my roommates would not shut up; in the
house there are a whole bunch of cameras to keep an eye on everything that
happened in the house. The daughter went through the video footage and saw that
the door slammed behind her and thought that this would show her parents it
wasn’t her fault and she was locked out. So her dad saw it and he goes, “oh it
was just the wind.” The door literally was made of mahogany, there was no way
that the wind could blow the door closed. So my roommates when ever anything
scary happened they would go, it was the wind. Scary noise, the wind, something
moved the wind anything that happened was the wind. They were the most annoying
people ever the whole weekend.
Overall the weekend was full of movies
that were scary, but still somewhat stupid like Paranormal Activity. As a
whole, our group loved it, but also got plenty of laughs out of it. In general
I do love scary movies; however, I do feel like today’s scary movies are less
scary and gorier than the older ones. I love Halloween, but I do feel that it
is somewhat repetitive now.
