Most Important Thing

As I have mentioned before I have been incredibly blessed to have an opportunity to work within Allstate. Allstate gave me a great internship program where I get exposed to every aspect of the business. Since I was the first intern within Allstate, I was able to help set up a more elaborate internship program within Allstate. For next year, we will have two interns that will be rotating throughout Allstate. So far, there have been about 30 applications that have been sent out to us. As a result of all those people that have applied we will be able to pick the best people possible for the program. Allstate has given so much to me and as my internship program comes to an end I have actually managed to solidify a position within Allstate for when I graduate. I will be working as a Claims Service Adjuster within the auto department.

Looking back on my goals I have realized that I have reached all the goals that I went to seek out. I managed to understand the larger picture of the organization due to my rotations from department to department. I was able to improve customer service through facilitating and managing the processing work that was being done behind the scenes. Finally, I was able to manage and allocate costs efficiently within a strict budget. As someone who was on the total loss and salvage side of the business I was actually able to see the whole picture accurately. Overall, I feel like the internship truly prepared me for my future career at Allstate. Since the internship program is coming to an end I have had the honor of learning from almost every manager at Allstate. I seek to utilize all my teachings within the internship program into the real world.
