Prior to coming to ASU I went to school at a
community college called Pierce College. As I attended Pierce College, I had
two jobs. My first job was in the afternoon where I coached children in after
school sports. The sports that I coached were basketball, football, volleyball,
and track and field. Coaching kids was probably one of my favorite jobs. It
feels good working with the youth and helping develop young kids into young adults
through means of sports. My second job was working in a warehouse where I
usually worked crazy hours in the morning. This job allowed me to work in the
morning, go to school from 10 to 3, coach kids in the afternoon, and go to
school again at night. Even though this schedule was a little busy for me I
loved it. I’m the kind of person that enjoys staying busy and would rather be
on the go rather than sitting down for too long and not doing anything.
On my free time I enjoy working out, hanging out
with friends, going to the movies, trying new food, watching sports, and reading.
However, I am pretty picky on what I read outside of school. Overall I would
say I’m pretty easy going person that loves to watch ASU sports.
Anthony- I have also coached youth in my community before and it's definitely a rewarding experience. I coached a swim team in the summer months for 5 years and several tennis and softball clinics. Coaching on top of another job and school will keep you very busy, but like you I also enjoy the busy life.
